Ready to change the game?
At Business Intelligence, your data doesn’t just sit in dashboards – it drives real decisions. Our leadership knows your name, values your insights, and counts on your work to steer the business. You’ll own projects end-to-end, shape strategy, and solve complex challenges across teams using modern tools like Google Cloud. From logistics to marketing, your impact is real. And big.
Join us as an Analytics Engineer to help turn our data into a strategic asset. You’ll work closely with data engineers and analysts to design and maintain the models that drive our decision-making. If you're a SQL expert who believes data should be treated with the same rigor as software, you'll fit right in.
Sounds like your next challenge?
Here’s what your journey could look like:
Architect Clean Data Models: Design, build, and maintain robust data models using frameworks like dbt to transform raw data into well-defined, "analytics-ready" datasets.
Bridge the Data Gap: Act as the connective tissue between Data Engineering and Business Intelligence, ensuring the data produced by pipelines is translated into logic that makes sense for the business.
Implement Engineering Excellence: Bring software engineering rigor to the data stack by managing version control (Git) and writing modular, reusable SQL.
Enforce Data Trust: Develop and automate testing suites to monitor data quality, ensuring the business makes decisions based on accurate, reliable, and "source of truth" information.
Optimize the Semantic Layer: Fine-tune data structures for performance in BI tools, ensuring dashboards are lightning-fast and intuitive for end-users.
Collaborate on Strategic Solutions: Partner with stakeholders to define key metrics (KPIs) and translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
Your part in the bigger picture:
Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a highly technical data analysis role within a modern data stack.
SQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL is non-negotiable. You should be comfortable with complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and optimizing queries for performance.
dbt Proficiency: Proven experience using dbt to manage the transformation layer. You should understand how to build modular models, implement data tests, and maintain project documentation.
Data Modeling: Strong grasp of dimensional modeling (e.g., Star Schema). You can take messy, raw data and structure it into clean, reusable tables that make sense to the business.
Engineering Mindset: Familiarity with Version Control (Git) and a commitment to software engineering best practices, such as code reviews and DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) principles.
Cloud Data Warehousing: Hands-on experience working within GCP (BigQuery) or similar cloud platforms (Snowflake, Redshift). You understand how to navigate these environments to manage datasets and monitor costs.
ELT Awareness: A solid understanding of the ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) paradigm and how data flows from source systems into the warehouse.
Communication: Fluent in English, with the ability to collaborate with both technical peers and business stakeholders to define clear data requirements.
