• Architect and develop the backend for our new internal AI platform — from API design to deployment;
• Build secure, modular services that connect our tools with Vertex AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source model APIs;
• Partner with AI engineers to orchestrate LLM workflows — handling data pipelines, inference, and feedback loops;
• Own infrastructure & deployments across Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Vertex AI);
• Collaborate with our DevOps engineer to evolve CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code;
• Contribute to MLOps practices — model tracking, prompt orchestration, and performance monitoring;
• Help define our architecture, best practices, and internal developer experience as the AI team scales;
• Take full ownership of backend modules — from architecture to production support.

(Roughly 70% backend development, 30% DevOps/MLOps, depending on project phase.)

What we expect you to bring

• Strong backend engineering skills — ideally with PHP (Laravel) and JavaScript/TypeScript; Python or Go experience is a plus;
• Proven ability to design microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and distributed systems;
• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform — especially Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Firestore, and Vertex AI;
• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions), Docker, and Terraform/IaC;
• Familiarity with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI) and frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face;
• A DevOps mindset — comfortable building, automating, and debugging cloud infrastructure;
• Experience with data pipelines, caching, and performance optimization;
• Strong grasp of observability tools (Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry);
• Pragmatism and curiosity — you thrive in fast-moving environments where you can shape both code and culture.
